Team Kihei’s last year of surf dog competitions

Aloha everyone! It’s time for the Surf City Surf Dog competition again. Come down to watch the many talented surf doggies shoot the curl this Sunday, September 25. Kihei competes in the first heat of the day at 8am (small dog heat) and again at 12:40pm (human/dog tandem heat). We don’t expect many of you to appear at 8am, but we hope you can come down and watch us, Kihei and I, shoot the curl together at 12:40pm. At 14 years of age, this is Kihei’s last year of competition. He’s had a great surfing career giving a lot of dogs half his age a good run for their money. His surfing career started back in July 2009 at Surfinpaws Dog Jam HB, he received 1st place Small Dog. It’s been lots of great memories and surfing waves with his buddies, some of whom have become record breaking surfurs and still charging today. His last appearance will be Sunday, October 2 at Helen Woodward’s Surf Dog Surf A thon, Del Mar Dog Beach. What’s up in the horizon for Kihei?…a lot of biscuits, free surfing and passing the surf stoke to his younger bro Carson, a terrier mix. We hope to see you and thank you for all your support during his competition career. Aloha and blessings, Team Kihei. #surfcitysurfdog #doylesurf
P.S. This is my friend Ziggy Surfdog, she’s wonderful and so is her team! I will miss her.
